Starward Ginger Beer Cask No.8 Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

This is the 8th iteration of our famous Ginger Beer Cask series, which has been maturing in ginger beer casks for longer than any of our previous iterations. How long is too long, you ask? Well, in our books, there are no rules when it comes to flavour.

Our house-made ginger beer was aged for 12 months in ex-Starward whisky barrels – mostly American oak casks that previously held Nova, Solera and 100 Proof. We then finished a blend of our red wine and Apera cask matured single malts in those same ginger beer casks almost two years, drawing out bold, zesty notes of citrus, spice and toasty gingerbread.

AROMA:
Ginger, dried orange and dark chocolate.

PALATE:
Fresh ginger, pineapple and berries.

FINISH:
A touch of citrus, gingerbread and fruit and nut chocolate.
