Varietal Breakdown: The wine is a unique cross-continental blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Merlot from Bordeaux, combined with 29% Shiraz from South Australia (primarily the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale)

Sourcing: The French components were sourced from premium Dourthe-owned estates—specifically Cabernet Sauvignon from Château Belgrave (Haut-Médoc) and Merlot from Château La Garde (Pessac-Léognan)

Winemaking & Bottling: The French parcels were crafted in Bordeaux by Frédéric Bonnaffous and transported to Australia in temperature-controlled stainless steel. There, Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago blended them with the Australian Shiraz. The final blend was matured for 18 months in oak barrels (70% French and 30% American oak) before being bottled at Penfolds' Nuriootpa winery
