Kilchoman Sanaig Cask Strength 57.8% Islay Single Malt Whisky 2024 Edition (700ml)

Created from the same recipe of casks as the regular Sanaig release, Sanaig Cask Strength was matured predominantly in oloroso sherry casks. However, instead of adding water once the casks have been selected and vatted, this limited edition Sanaig Cask Strength has been bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.8% alc./vol. The result is an intense combination of rich peat smoke, cinnamon sweetness, and stoned fruits with waves of citrus, mixed spices, and dark chocolate.

Sanaig, named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic coast, is a vatting of Kilchoman whisky, 70% matured in Oloroso Sherry casks and 30% matured in Bourbon barrels.

Nose: Toffee sweetness and dark fruits with red berries and smoked oak.

Palate: Intense sweetness and spiced dark chocolate with raisins, liquorice and warming rich peat smoke.

Finish: Lingering sweetness and spices with integrated smoke throughout
