Green River Single Barrel For WHA Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

Selected earlier this year on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, this is the first Green River single barrel ever chosen exclusively for the Australian market. One barrel only, bottled at natural barrel strength, and our final barrel pick to close out 2025.

The cask was hand selected by the WHA team at Bardstown Bourbon Co (they acquired Green River Distillery in 2022), standing out immediately for its bold high rye character and unmistakable Green River herbal profile. Since selection, Green River has gone on to be awarded World’s Best Bourbon and Best in Class at the 2025 New York World Spirits Competition, reinforcing just how strong the distillery’s current releases are.

At the time of selection, the bourbon was 5 years old and 62.6% ABV, and it has since climbed to 63.2%, likely passing through another full Kentucky summer prior to bottling.

The barrel matured on the fourth floor of one of Kentucky’s oldest rickhouses, a half clay tiled, half brick clad structure that traps heat and maintains steady temperatures for extended periods. This environment promotes deep extraction, bold spice, and a long, structured finish.
