Tasting Notes

The Light Chardonnay 2024 opens with lemon drop, pear, citrus, pomelo peel, nectarine and other temperate fruit flavours, complemented by orange blossom and delicate white flower aromas. Medium-bodied and beautifully textured — oily yet refreshing on the palate — with a savoury umami finish of sea salt and cheese. Linear acidity persists throughout, with a three-dimensional and expansive structure.

As the wine opens, it evolves to reveal notes of nuts, popcorn and honey, with gorgeous aromatics that continue to build. The finish is rich and lingering, with lasting and firm structure. Very young, with enormous ageing potential.
