Chateau Montelena Estate Zinfandel 2021 (750ml)

Zinfandel expresses in unique and sometimes unfamiliar ways in these cool years, miming the earthy and briary facets of Syrah, or even the angular aspects of young Pinot Noir, more than the prosaic “ jam” or “dried fruit.” Instead, we’re treated to perfume, forest floor and red cherry on the nose. The palate shines with bright acid, fresh raspberry and briar.
