Angel's Envy Private Selection Single Barrel For WHA Port Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

The first ever Australian exclusive single barrel Angel's Envy, picked at the distillery by Scott Allan of TWL and Brock Tregellas of WHA.

In early 2025, Scott and Brock hosted a combined TWL & WHA distillery tour of Kentucky and picked a few barrles while they were at it. This Angel's Envy is one of the more exciting ones, being the first ever private selection single barrel ever done just for Australia!

About the experience, Scott says "They took us to the rickhouses, we thieved the samples from the finishing casks, tested a number of different proof points and picked one that was luscious and not dominated by the Port cask finish, but extremely well complimented by it."

• Mashbill - 72 Corn, 18 Rye, 10 Barley
• Age - 4-6 Years American Oak, ~4 months Port Finish

Ollie managed to end up with the sample bottle the guys brought back and just gave it a good taste:

• Aroma: Sandalwood, roasted chestnuts, with a touch of bitter orange
• Taste: Creme brulee, maple syrup and grilled peaches
• Finish: Long finish of graham cracker crust, burnt caramel, and a touch of tobacco leaf
• Summary: Super chewy, nice sweetness of grilled peaches, not heavy on port influence
